Oskar von Bernardino is a charming 5 year old German Shepherd. Life hasn’t been easy for Oskar. We know he has the conformation that the AKC prefers with the extreme angulation in the back. Oskar hasn’t had good nutrition and with the loss of muscle, he goes even farther down in the back. With exercise and protein, he will again build muscle mass and get stronger. All his physical problems are fixable, but what is so special about him is his temperament. Everyone who meets him has a different way of expressing what is so special and touching about this sweet soul. Oskar is so good with every dog and animal he has met, even a big Orange Tabby was fine with him. He is just a big lover. There were many guardian angels helping get Oskar out of a crowded animal shelter with little time to spare. We can imagine him so easily, after a few months of good care, with his body again strong, running and playing, feeling good again, his coat shiny from good food and grooming, looking like a dog loved and cherished. Unfortunately most people have no imagination, they will worry about this and that while Oskar waits in a small kennel run wasting more precious time, not getting stronger and not enjoying himself. He needs one more guardian angel!
